Well, here I am. Vladimir is great, if a bit small. I’m not sure how to write about all my first impressions here because most everything is very familiar this time around. So familiar, in fact, it feels like I have been here for nearly a month, the only break in the illusion is that I don’t know where anything is yet.
My host family is awesome. I live with Yuri and Luda. They are about 45 years old and have married their daughter off to a american teacher from last year and sent their son to college in Moscow. I’m sort of a replacement child since no one is home. They gave me a key on the first day, which for those of you who know about my first host family in Краснодар already know, is a welcome change.
Most of my time is spent at the American home, which really looks like a suburban house. if you want a picture go here. I’ll post pictures of the inside later. I’ll post a lot of pictures eventually, its only a matter of having my camera and computer in the same place at the same time.
Tonight we are testing new students to see what level of english they’ve got. Last night, we had a discussion with some of the more advanced students in the backyard. They are very friendly and most are eager to learn, which should make my job a lot less stressful. Although, I’m sure trying to guess english ability will be interesting.

Yuri is awesome! He was one of my students last semester, and he’s a really great guy.
